Congrats to Assassins and Wicked, on their 5 Drama Dewsk Awards each.
How Schwartz won best lyrics is beyond me.

Both are amazing. I wouldn't expect anything less. Its about time Assasins got some credit.

Come on with lyrics such as: "There are bridges you cross, you didn't know you've crossed, until you crossed" and "If it's all right with you, I will degreenify you." How could he NOT be nominated?

"I don't really get the ending,all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang,and later she kissed him on the toilet,after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung,and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen,and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady?Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

Yes- Stephen Schwartz's words are a bit strange, but I think he deserves it. I personally think he should have won for Pippin and Godspell, but now, if he wins the Tony for Wicked, I'll just think of it as the long-awaited Tony for Pippin and Godspell.

But congratulations to everyone else!

Wicked won:
Musical
Set Design
Constume Design
Director
Book
Lyrics

Thanks for the lyrical agreements. He was due yes, but Wicked's lyrics are still lame.
AND I think Mantello should have won for Assassins not Wicked.
Either wasy he'll get the Tony too, so who cares.

The MUSIC from Wicked is terrific, but yes the lyrics are next to a joke in some parts. nevertheless, I enjoy the musical a lot.
