The upcoming Atlanta Black Theatre festival will feature African-American writers and producers from around the country this great art event will produce over 40 plays. My Play "Coyote Dreams" will be featured at the festival.
“Coyote Dreams” by Kuba presents a serious look at the harm and devastation the illicit drug business has caused the African-American community. The action of the play follows the life of three lesbian drug dealers on the run from the FBI. The drug dealers take over a drug rehab clinic in Brownsville, Brooklyn, NY and use it as a hideout as they wait for their Coyote (smuggler) to take them to Mexico. As they wait a huge hurricane hits NYC but the storm outside is no match for the tempest raging inside as gang members fight, use sexual charm, and violence to rule the moment until finally realizing that in doubtful matters boldness is everything! The play contains some harsh language and adult themes. The play is suitable for ages seventeen and above. Tix- $15. The festival, takes place at the Porter Sandford III Arts center Decatur, GA. Coyote Dreams scehdule 10/14 @ 10pm & 10/11/14 @ 8pm.
