Au-Rene Theater question regarding the Wicked tour

So I checked out the Wicked tour dates just for fun, and saw that next Spring the tour will be coming to Ft. Lauderdale. I live in Orlando, so travel isn't an issue. I'm planning to go with some family as a birthday present, and we really want the best affordable seats. Obviously we don't want the balcony or very back of the Mezz, but Wicked is such a massive show. From what I've seen, the Au Rene theater is HUGE and generally a great environment. For people who have gone to the that theater before, what are the best seats in the house, the ones that aren't incredibly expensive? How is the tour vs Broadway (which I was planning to see next time I went to NY, but now I'm not sure) and which one is better? Thanks

You are correct, the theater is huge. I have only seen one show, a Patti Labelle concert. I sat in the upper balcony and the stage was really far away. I was able to move to the lower balcony, which wasn't as bad. Again, this was not a show, but a concert. In contrast, I attended the newer built Dr Phillips Center in Orlando, for On Your Feet. I sat in the upper balcony (cheap seats) and found the view was very good. Being from Orlando, I assume you have been to Dr Phillips. Don't compare the two. Au-Renee was not built for a Broadway show from the upper/lower balcony or rear mezz.. In my opinion, the better seating would equal to the more expensive ticket.

Anywhere in the front orchestra is perfect. Since the theatre has box seats the orchestra left and right don’t extend to the wall so anywhere there is equally as perfect. Just avoid the front mezzanine as it feels 200 miles away.
