Posted: 6/29/11 at 7:13pmHey everybody. I am going to the Godspell open call and I had a question. I don't have any headshots (trying to work on getting them), would a school picture work?

No! I made the mistake of using my school picture as a headshot and was never taken seriously. The second I started using real headshots, casting directors seemed more interested.
For now, you'd be best off having a friend take some digital pictures that closely resemble headshots. Save up for some high-quality professional ones when you're not in a bind.

You can even print your name on the photo as the machines have different fonts. Look for coupons in the front of the store to try to save even more money. Also- look on websites for good examples. Good luck!

Hey,
I agree with supportivemom and bwaylvsong, you want to be taken seriously as well as get great work, so professional headshots would be the way to go. The positive too is that once you get a great headshot, you can use it for as long as you need to.
Wish you luck!
