My friend auditioned with "It's A Perfect Relationship" from Bells Are Ringing and was cast just a few years in a local production of Drowsy Chaperone :)
Caption: Every so often there was a rare moment of perfect balance when I soared above him.

Cole Porter's Ridin High is pretty perfect for your audition.
It is the right period, it is brassy like the character and the lyrics can be interpreted to mean that you are in an airplane.

When I auditioned, I sang "Shy" from Once Upon a Mattress and got called back for Trix!
