Hey everyone! Hope you're all having a great day. I have an audition for the TYA show "Honk!" on Monday and am in need of some help finding a good, high-energy song that would match the characters I'm auditioning for. I'm auditioning for Penny (the young, beautiful swan that falls in love with the Ugly duckling) and Ida (Ugly's mother.). I really need some help and would appreciate it! I'm a soprano but can sing mezzo if I practice. Let me know if you have any ideas or tips. (It's a high school audition, by the way, first thing in the morning at 7:00!)

Since its less then a week away, why not rock the hell out of a song you already know? Learning a new song this close to auditions isn't the best choice. And I don't remember Penny singing all that much....does she?
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

I think that's a great idea, I just can't think of any songs I already know that would fit what my director is looking for. So I could definitely use some suggestions! :)
As far as Penny goes, I don't think she actually has any solos, so I may not audition for her at all. I just don't know a lot about the show and was trying to think of what would fit my voice type best.
