Audition for Grease-Rizzo

My sister wants to be Rizzo. Any suggestions? She's an alto, character actress.

What kind of suggestions? Like, what song should she sing? Or if this is a good part for her to try?
"`I grow old... I grow old... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.` What does that mean, Mr. Marlowe?" "Not a bloody thing. It just sounds good." He smiled. "That is from the `Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.` Here's another one. `In the room women come and go/Talking of Michael Angelo.' Does that suggest anything to you, sir?" "Yeah -- it suggests to me that the guy didn't know very much about women." "My sentiments exactly, sir. Nonetheless I admire T. S. Eliot very much." "Did you say, 'nonetheless'?" - The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler

I Can Cook Too from On The Town would be a good choice.

Something belty, but ballad-ish. She shouldn't go into her headvoice, but still prove to the casting director that she has a range.

Tell your sister good luck!

i would probably sing "there are worse things i can do" which is pretty much the only song Rizzo sings in the show by herself, besides "Sandra Dee".

You really shouldn't sing a song from the show. If something happens and you just can't find song for the audition, you probably could sing that.
