I have auditions for Tuck Everlasting at my local theater in a few months, and I have no idea what to sing for my audition. I am a tenor 1 and I would like some suggestions on what to sing, anything will be helpful!

Are you going for Jesse? I'd pick something Disney like Aladdin or Newsies. Something fun, nothing too somber. For Hugo, you'd want more of a character actor song.

I am going for Hugo. Do you have any songs in mind?
"It Just Ain't Me" from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

I'm not great with male voices. From best to worst... from a character perspective... maybe something Seymour sings from Little Shop of Horrors. Some of the guy songs from Waitress might work too. You could do one of the Patsy songs from Spamalot. "Mister Cellophane" from Chicago is okay if you're in a rush because you're bound to find it in audition books. It's not quite right musically. There's "The Company Way" from How to Succeed and "Perspective" from She Loves Me. I wish there was a good Bob Gaudio song from Jersey Boys. December 1963 is a bit much. And I don't know if "Walk Like
A Man" would sound great as a solo. Also take a look at the prince's songs in Once Upon a Mattress. "Accident Waiting to Happen" from The Drowsy Chaperone could work. Maybe "Foolish to Think" from Gentleman's Guide. "I Wonder What the King is Doing Tonight" from Camelot is a bit too brash. There are some okay songs in The Apple Tree but they might have the same issue. Maybe take a look at something from Shrek. I guess "Come to a Party" from Dogfight isn't terrible if you play it super earnestly.
That's the best I can do tonight.
