Yeah, I totally agree. I mean I think even in that Annie movie she is great. She's surely a double threat*, and I tell you I'm a critic and don't let me love of her singing voice overpower my opinions of her as an actor. Sure, she isn't quite Meryl Streep, but few are really.
*Someone who can truly truly have a career in both professions indifferent of each-other. I think this and triple threat are words that are often thrown around too much. Many performers are really good at two and ok at another or their talents are inflated.
A Side Note: but if she had been at the Wall to Wall thing yesterday, I would have met all my major idols at once and I could have died happy. (The other two being Joss Whedon and Sondheim)
