Audra last night at Provincetown's Town Hall

It was a great concert. She is very pregnant -- the baby is expected to arrive in October. Her voice is a bit lower these days -- she joked that she sounds like Brenda Vacarro (not really, she still is in top form.) She talked about "Shuffle" and how hard the past month or so was for her. Will Swenson came out briefly and sang a song from "Pirates of Penzance." They also did a tongue-in-cheek duet of "Endless Love." One of the highlights of the concert was her version of "There Won't Be Trumpets." Hillary and Cher were in town just a few hours before doing a fundraiser. Audra changed the lyrics (the pronouns and a few phrases) to make the song about Hillary. She finished the song with a stunning high note of "...who needs Trump!" to one of several standing ovations. Many of the song selections were from her usual repertoire such as "When Did I Fall in Love," "The Glamorous Life," and others. A few news song (at least that I haven't heard her sing before -- "Maybe This Time" and an encore of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Audra is a trooper and doesn't disappoint.
