Audtion Song- Bye Bye Birdie

A friend of mine is auditioning for Kim Mcafee in Bye Bye Birdie and asked me to pose a question. What should she sing for her audtion song? She is a soprano and they require a song similar to the style of the show! Please give any suggestions you have!!

Audtion Song- Bye Bye Birdie

When Ann-Margret auditioned for the
film, she sang "It Might As Well Be
Spring" and a jazz version of "Bill Bailey".

These strike me as better choices
than anything listed above.

Audtion Song- Bye Bye Birdie

Huh? Ann-Marget did not audition for the film adaptation of BYE BYE BIRDIE. Columbia Pictures bought the property just for her. She already had 2 films out by the time she did BYE BYE BIRDIE and was quickly becoming a hot property.

That “screen test” you’re referring to was her original personality audition for her studio contract consideration. BEFORE she ever did her first film.
