Playbill lists it as mature, but what exactly makes it mature? I'm seeing it with my dad who, even though I'm 20 and in college, is hesitant about watching R rated movies with me...I'm a little nervous!

There are intense situations: near child sexual abuse, some physical attacks, drug abuse, and verbal abuse.
You don't SEE the near sex abuse but it is understood.
I would think you'd be ok.
Do you mind spoilers? I presume not. There's a lot of mature language. Also...

There's not really much else, right? Well, there's ton else, but those are the bits that'd make it awkward for me to see this play with my parents. XD

Ah ok, that doesn't seem too bad. Thanks!
I can't wait to see it, I've heard nothing but good things!
But you don't see much of that....it's more understood than seen, if I rmember correctly.
Nothing "personally" embarrassing like in SA.

You do not really see it. I really like this show though. It should be fine for you.
Oh, it's definitely not explicit, but I wouldn't feel comfortable watching it with my dad in the room.
Just as I wouldn't feel comfortable watching Skins with my dad in the room, and Skins is ON and my dad is IN THE ROOM. Oh well... XD
I am 13 and am dying to drag my Dad to the show, it's amazing. It's just the cursing that is the problem other wise it is pretty clean. A few sexual references.
