Just wondering how you find a stage door? Specifically for "Wicked" (whether or not Kristin decides to show up for the show--haha) "Millie" "Movin Out" "Hairspray"?? Any suggestions on how to get an autograph or two? Thanks, in advance, for your help!
the stage door to wicked is on 51st. when u leave the gershwin make a right out of the theater toward 51. then make a left it's right next to the entrance of the parking garage. the hairspray stage door is to the left when exiting the theater just look for the baracades. i've been to the hairspray stagedoor plenty of times and the cast is very nice and sign atographs and take pictures. i've been to the wicked door once and both witches didn't come out. good luck
And, if you have questions, ask any usher.

I feel like a geek. I have never seen a show ON Bway (WILL IN APRIL!!), so I always go to the stage doors after national tours. Hey, a lot of people I have gotten are on Bway now.
Kristen is not alowd to sign autographs anyways.
The stage door for Millie is near the New York store...there's a huge column with a huge Millie poster right in front (thanx Bway_Mill_fan!) When they come out, they are usually more than happy to sign autographs. I've brought my camera and had my pic taken also! Have fun!
The stage door for Movin Out is to the right of the entrance for the theatre on W. 46th Street. If you need further directions, yeah asking an usher always works =)
I know Kristin isn't allowed to sign CDs, but I'm pretty sure she's allowed to sign playbills.
The stage door to Hairspray is on the right of the main entrance to the theatre if you're facing the theatre.
Most buildings you will find have four 'walls.' On these 'walls' are 'doors' that people enter and exit from. The 'stage door' will be one of these 'doors' on one of these 'walls.'
If you walk around the entire building more than once, you have missed it.

Okay, I feel like an idiot... why is Kristen not allowed to sign cd's?
(yeah, go on, everyone die of shock, there's something I don't know lol)
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
I think it's that she's only allowed to sign her cd, because - just as an example - the Wicked cast recording is on a different label, so she can't sign that. She can sign playbills though.
I really think thats dumb of a record labe to do that. To only let a person sign certion things they should beable to sign anything that FANS ask them to. Fans are the people whio buy there stuff. I know it's to get people to buy there CD's or whavere but after paying $100 for a seat and then waiting in the cold (now) for them they should sign whatever they fan has to get signed.
starstruck
Hairspray and LSOh are the nicest cast's they come out and sign everything for everyoen. The people at Millie are nice but you have to stop them, they don't come out expecting to sign things like at the other 2 shows. and I have never been to Movein out. and Wicked after there 2pm show on wed (when I saw it) no one came out. Well not no one a few ensumble people and the girl who palyed NessaRose was goign back into the theater (somehow) by the tiem I got out there and she didn't stop to sign anything. But I'm sure like if you see the show at night they'll come out. I don't know.
the hardest stage door is the hirshfeld or gershwin i waled around the whole gershwin complex in 3 degree weather looking for it(luckily i found it before norbert michelle and christopher came out)
Hirshfeld is hard becuase it doesnt look like its attached to the building. It's a little past the main entrance

Kristin is lying, she must not want to sign them. She got paid, she "appears" by permission of Sony. She is NOT Britney Spears, even when she wears extensions! (LOL) She just must not want to. If there is something she shouldn't want to do is wear that neckbrace...someone give her a sharpie!

The stage door or Movin' Out I think is the easiest to find. Its labled and everything. As broadwaygal said its on 46th street right of the entrance, so when you come out of the theatre just make a left. The cast is wonderful (espeacially Michael). They will stand in the cold and have a conversation. All great people!
How's Donna at the stage door? Does she take pictures with people, etc?

What's the security level at the Stage Door? Surely there is a guard or two around to make sure folks don't get too rambunctious with one of the peformers. (The actors are an investment/asset, after all.)
Has anyone see a "fan" get carried away with one of the actors?

Donna absolutely refuses to have her picture taken with people. She will, however, pose with animals and birds. So please, bring your pets.
Just wanted to add that the cast of Hairspray is the nicest cast I have EVER met. Even the guards at the stage door are nice guys who talk with the people waiting.
Now the guard at the Gershwin stage door...is another story.
hairspray people rock so did taboo people.
Why does Donna refuse to have her picture taken with people?
I think he was being sarcastic...
LOL Thanks. Yeah, the animals thing confused me...it's been a long day.
