Ave Q best cast?

Has anyone seen both the Broadway and touring cast and can tell me which is the best cast. I have a chance to see one or the other and don't know which to see.

I haven't seen the tour- saw the current broadway cast (well before christy joined) and it was a solid cast; not as good as the OBC .... but solid.

from many friends who have seen the tour ( non of them have seen it on broadway i dont think) said that the tour cast is great except for Brian. Ive been told he is not very good or funny at all. Another friend that was it saw the understudy for brian was very bad as well..... but the rest of the cast is good!

i saw the cast on broadway two years ago and then saw the national tour a year later... both casts were great but i prefer the national tour... they just made the show more fresh (maybe because the tour had only been open for a month) whereas the broadway cast played it for a couple years already

The reason I asked this is that I've heard the the lead in the tour who plays Princeton is very much the ham and completely over acts to the point of being irritating and the Brian character usualy phones in his performance.
I simply want to see the best cast.

Robert McClure plays Princeton/Rod on tour... and I found him to be fabulous... i don't think you'd be disappointed.... Howie Michael Smith who plays it on Broadwa is also excellet... but i found Robert McClure to be far better... as for Brian.. yeah the tour guy isn't all that great (Cole Porter i think is his name don't know if he's still in it)... but then again neither was the guy on Broadway... but on the tour you will get a FANTASTIC Christmas Eve... she is HILARIOUS! as well as the ensemble members...

In my opinion, the touring cast is the best cast. Rob McClure does NOT over act or ham it up. He and the rest of the cast are amazing!!! I highly recommend seeing the tour.

I've only seen it on Broadway, and that was back in December. But I would have to say that my favorite cast member of all time would have to be Christian Anderson.

The actor who plays Brian on Bway is HORRENDOUS. He is sleepwalking through his role in should be fired, IMO.

Avenue Q was here last month in Denver. I saw it twice. The first night I saw it, Robert McClure was in it. He was pretty good. I didn’t think he overacted and the singing was good. The 2nd time I saw it, the understudy Cullen R. Titmas filled in and I thought he sucked. Complete opposite of McClure's performance. Cole Porter (Brian) was okay. He played the character, said a few funny lines, and the audience laughed. Brian maybe one of the main characters, but I don’t think he has that many lines as Princeton, Kate and some others. IMO, check out the show! It is so funny that you will probably look pass the flaws!! I also saw it in NY last October and I was not disappointed with the touring cast!!
