Posted: 1/9/05 at 10:13amOk, so its definite John Tartaglia is leaving Avenue Q Jan. 30 (NOOOO!), but is anyone else leaving too? Also, is there any specific reason John is leaving, does he have another project he's moving on to?

Stephanie D'Abruzzo is scheduled to leave the show in July 2005 when her contract expires.
Ann Harada is not leaving Avenue Q. She is slated to return to the show on January 25, 2005.
The uber-talented Barrett Foa (my idol), John Tartaglia's understudy, will step into the role permanently on February 1, 2005.

john is an amazing performer, and his talents were perfectly suited for Q...I'm so sad!

From all accounts I've heard, Barrett is FANTASTIC as Princeton/Rod
Honestly, I'm really happy the Q folks have be upgrading their understudies to take over, it shows that a show without stunt casting can work

I saw Barrett in July and I was totally blown away. He is more than capable of filling the role when Johnny leaves.
He has loads of charisma and stage presence and he's amazingly talented.
I'm not worried.

Posted: 1/9/05 at 11:49amI've seen Barrett in Q and countless other shows before that. Actually I've seen almost every show he's done. He is a phenomenal performer, he has an amazing voice, he's a great actor and he's a great person altogether. Whenever I talk to him he is generally just an amazing guy and is truly my inspiration.
