this is what the article actually said...
"...meanwhile, Nicky, an openly proud homosexual, has to deal with his friend, Rod, who is a closeted Homosexual."

Huh? -scratches head- I love it when they get so creatively incorrect with these things.
Rod is gay, but in denial and in the closet about it. Nicky is not gay, but is totally comfortable with the idea that his best buddy Rod is, and tries to convince him that this is OK (as heard in the song "If You Were Gay"). There is a Ricky who is gay, but that's a bit of a spoiler. I have no idea who Micky and Rid are.

sorry, someone switched the letters round on my keyboard...
i am very familiar with ave q, seen it loads of times, but it just made me think that i missed something everytime about Nicky. I never thought he was gay, its just that this article is a bit misleading.
Just remember writers are human and typos happen.
Ricky, is the gay stud that Nicky finds for Rod at the end.
ROD: NICKY AND RICKY. MY CUP RUNETH OVER.

Corine, a typo would be if the writer said, "Vicky, an openly gay homosexual..." This is just wrong information, which is a very different thing.
Yes. Ok.
But a good example: I did an interview and wrote Scott Wittman and my editor changed it to Scott Whittman.

At least he didn't change it to "The Straight Scott Whittman..."

Sorry, Matthew, I thought "Micky and Rid" was a direct quote from the article.
And I didn't know you'd seen the show (you're way ahead of me, then, on that count!).
