Why is it everytime people hear Mrs. T's full name, they laugh? (I am eighteen, so it might be obvious why I don't understand it.)
It's a takeoff of Mr. T, who was on the TV show the A-Team during the 80s. He's become a cult figure since then. He's famous for "I pity the fool", etc.

No, her full name is Mrs. Thistleswat (not sure if I was supposed to type that) and everytime people hear that name, they laugh. So what is so funny about that name?
it's sexual innuendo. Nuff said.

The actual name is Thistletwat. In other words, her ____ has thorns.
Why not explain the joke so the original poster understands. Yes it is a sexual innuendo. It has nothing to do with age, or Mr. T. The end of her name is the word 'twat' which is another word people use to talk about the Vagina. Think along the lines of the word pu$$y.
I hope that helped. Sorry if the explination was to graphic.

Although this is all true, what I find funny is how it is said.
I've only seen Avenue Q with Stephanie but the way she says it is funny.
In a sweet high voice she says "Sorry Mrs. Thistletwat"
