Avenue Q to move....again!?!

According to the Playbill article about Hair transfering:

'According to a spokesperson from Cameron Mackintosh Ltd, it is planned to move again.'

But where? The Wyndhams is rumoured to take Sweet Charity, Novello is larger than either of its prior homes, could it go back to the Noel Coward? or is this all just talk because an official announcement has not been made (eg: the Calender Girls transfer that doesnt seem to be happening)

Doubt it will...

If it does it will only go to a Cameron Theatre as its cheaper for him to run and manage. So it really only leaves the Wyndhams, Novello or Noel Coward... and if those theatres fail to negotiate new shows in time - i guess trasnfering this show (again!) maybe worth it than a dark theatre.

Personally - I think Cameron will tour in Autumn 2010.

We love Q, but don't want it to become one of those shows that goes from theatre to theatre (as Dreamboats will become...!)

It has its closing notice for March. There is no transfer.

Considering that it was meant to close in April, it has had an incredible run and over three years in the West End is nothing to be ashamed of. I'm sure it'll tour and who knows, it may return in a few years time.

Sure it will come back safer bet to come back than a full scale Miss Saigon or Sunset Boulevard, production costs are minimal for this show. Tempted to see this again before it calls the final bell, loved the show first time I saw it at the Golden Theatre, New York, did not have the same impact the second time at the Noel Coward.
