re: Avenue Q - why is it at 87%

"We" do not know everything, but some of us have been around the block a few times and do know many things. So, in case you're wondering, my pedistool is very, very, very big.
I sing for myself. I sing when I want, whenever I want to, just for me. I sing for my own pleasure. Do you understand that?

Ooh, how dare we display knowledge. We're such a bunch of ivory tower intellectual snobs.

Not.

Ignorance is only bliss for the ignorant.

And the Tony Award for most ignorant statement on a Broadway message board goes to: bronxboundexpress!

Congratulations on your new low!

Take a number and get in line.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Boys, boys - I don't want to let my pedistool take away from the pressing issue at hand. I think Avenue Q might close this week because of poor attendance. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I'm wicked through and through.

Oh come on! We haven't run with a grammatical error joke since Mr Roxy made a faux puax (pronounced poo-ax, in case you're wondering.)

You are also in the usual September doldrums which is one of the worst times annually for Broadway box office

Mywonder

There may be people on these boards that are cocky about their knowledge but there are many who DO know what they are talking about and when someone asks a question, they are ASKING FOR AN ANSWER.

I would also point out (and risk being called pompous and all knowing myself) that 'pedistools' is actually spelled 'pedestals' and if you want to post something though provoking to make a point, you might want to be sure that you spell the words in your post correctly and that you use punctuation.

It may just be my hang up but as soon as I see rampant misspellings and poor punctuation in a post, I discount it immediately.

As for Wicked, I don't have any feeling one way or the other about this show and I know a lot of people like it, but when you post on a board like this you are subject to the theatrical knowledge and opinions of other people (some of whom know more about the theater than you do and some of whom may know less than you do). If you don't want to engage in an exchange where you may end up agreeing to disagree, then don't post on a message board.
