i really love Brooklyn. I talked to one of the producers and it should be ok through July but lets hope sales go up... There are a lot of fans who love it, and i'm sure alot more would if they heard some of it's music or gave it a chance... i've seen many broadway shows, i study theater and i know a lot of people who hate it, but most of them are older.. i know a lot of younger crowds would love it if they actually knew about it. I hope they dont give up on it since they just spent the $ on the movies playing Brooklyn music as well as Delta planes.. If anyone here is reading this and is unsure if they want to see it, just give it a chance... tickets are not that much money and there is a discount code... check it out for yourself...
i'm sooo exicted about the brooklyn tour, i hope it comes to pittsburgh and philly... my friend is dying to see it but she cant afford to come to NYC
My Fair Lady- I understand where Karma's coming from. Whenever I have a song stuck in my head, when I listen to it, it just pops right out. Sorta weird, but it works. :)
I'm sad that Woolf doesn't seem to be finding an audience, but I am happy that Doubt and Pillowman are. Doubt's numbers are the strongest I can recall seeing for a play in years.
I'm surprised Brooklyn didn't close yet, even though it isn't an overly expensive show to run. Wait, didn't the garbage, er, costumes cost 2 million?
Doesn't BKLYN have about 450 producers though? Maybe they're helping it stay afloat until the just announced 60 city tour starts up.
Haven't seen Brooklyn, but personally, I found LW to be really boring. If I hadn't known someone in the cast, I would have left after the first act.
