Read on the Carols for a Cure thread that people picked up the CD after recent performances....did they start the pleas after the show yet? If so, can we make this thread a growing list of what each show is selling/auctioning?

oooh, I'm the first one to answer, cool! :) Won the Avenue Q lotto tonight (10/23), Stephanie did the after the show speech (and she was totally great at it, btw- if I was someone who knew nothing about BC/EFA she covered it all, and quite eloquently), and Q is selling:
- the series of 4 cardstock posters (the ones with Rod, Lucy, Trekkie, Kate), all autographed by everyone, $40 each or all four for $100
- orange bracelet (the rubber Livestrong type), says "everything in Life is only for now", $5 (for those at the BC/EFA swap meet, the same ones that they were selling there)
- "everything in life is only for now" button, $5
- "it sucks to be me" button, $5 (and she said this is the only time of year they sell those two buttons)
- and of course Carols for a Cure cd, $20
(I did that from memory, but I think I got all the prices right)
Question for those who know this better than I do: I did the DRS lotto today 10/26 (matinee) and there was no after the show anything re: BC/EFA. Do not all the shows do the after the show plea/ special item selling? (Is it an evening performance only thing? etc.) DRS is on my Carols for a Cure cd, so I thought there'd be one, but there wasn't.

Ah! I want one of those bracelets! Too bad I'm not going to be seeing the show or near the Golden any time soon...

FYI, shows in previews arent involved, so dont expect full cast signed Woman in White posters, etc.

Has the GYPSY competition officially started?
If the show like THE WOMAN IN WHITE officially opens during the period of the competition, can they opt to join the GYPSY competition midway?
Wouldn't it be great if they offered a mini-ALW or even a mini-pop concert ( for a donation to BC/EFA) after the show for those who want to stay? There are some great voices there who have done concerts ( Michael Ball, Maria Friedman, etc.). Michael alone can fill that theatre for one of his famous concerts!

spelling bee has started.. was there sat. night
Jose Llana did the BCEFA speech tonight after spelling bee. Signed posters are $50, signed playbills by the cast, Carols for a Cure for $20, and the most unique item is half of the kickboard from I Speak Six Languages, which is signed by the whole cast and has a spelling bee logo on the front. It's cute and now I wish I had bought one tonight ($40)

Trailer Park is selling Carols for a Cure CDs. That's it, but yay for them anyway! An extra two minutes of Orfeh on stage is worth a few bucks in the bucket as it is!

Is Sweet Charity, Movin Out, Fiddler, or In My Life seeling anything yet???
David Turner did the speech this afternoon for In My Life. They just sold signed window cards for 30 dollars.
But I'm so excited that shows are collecting now! It took me by surprise when the cast stayed onstage and David Turner started his speech.

I have the silver "Everything in life is only for now" bracelet from last year when they started selling them.
Nothing to do with anything, but I just thought Id mention.
Also, for someone who has the Carols for a Cure CD already, can you please tell me who's singing on it from Spamalot?? thanks!

Sweet Charity is just selling the cd, and signed posters for $100. Not very creative...

Will they sell them before the show at least??
sports- I don't think they sell before the show. Before Q started I'd asked about buying the Carols cd, and the merch guy told me that "all that stuff the actors sell after the show only."

I would be interested to see Rosie after Fiddler doing the auction. She has a way of getting money out of people for charity.

Anyone been to Spamalot, DRS, Fiddler, or any other show that can report on whats being sold??
went to Sweeney Todd tonight 10/28, no after the show pleas or sales, but that's to be expected, right, since they don't technically open until Nov 3rd?
Walked past Wicked on my way home and was curious so I stopped in- talked to a nice guy who said since the show started late they weren't doing collections tonight so that "they" didn't run into overtime, but I should totally stop by tomorrow and check out what they're selling. (I didn't get a clarification on who 'they' were- I guessed he was talking about the cast, but don't actors earn a flat weekly rate, would there be a cast OT issue on this?)
PopstarJim- I was at the matinee of DRS on Wed, and they did nothing after the show that day.
