The actor playing the beast switches places with a standby full costume and makeup he takes over for 10 mineutes then theres a blinding light and then the original actor comes out as the Prince.

He's a faker, and you've been taken in by his con. And in doing so, you are enabling him. He is doing more damage to aspergers than papa's words ever could. -Chane/Liverpool on me having asperger syndrome.

I cannot believe someone would actually ruin this.. it is so disney magic!

yes the beast transformatin is done on a piece of automation called a levitator.its a long arm that rides up and down on a shaft.it also has a rotating point on the front where the beast harness is attached. during the fightscene with gaston on the roof top.that is what we called the stunt beastfighting him.the real beast was on the back side of the west wing being hooked up to the levitator.so when it spins around there is steve on the ground all hooked up already..i worked the show feel free to email direct wit questions

Eisner's cousin is a techer at my high school. I have a period each day where I work with him one on one.

He said that all Eisner was good at doing was marketing the hell out of thier movies. For example, when the film of the lion king came out he came up with the idea to creat stufed animals of all the characters ect.


The Beast transformation is simple. It was something that was kept under lock and key via contract until the show closed. But, now that the show is closed there are peopel talking about it.


During the battle scene when Lumier is telling the beast that the castle is being attacked and the Beast just says for them to come. That is a voice over and the actor is a double.


The real beast is getting the major parts off of his costume off and returns by the time it looks as if he is going to die in Bell's arms. During the transformation he pulls off the very simple bits and lo and behold the prince is in front of us.

I don't know EXACTLY how it is done, but it probably involves a Beast double coming out and performing some of the action while the actual person playing the Beast changes back into the normal human look.
