According to Old Woody, the Best Musical race is WHITE.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bridges wins the whole shebang. It's oh-so-"serious," offers a score filled with turgid emoting, and presents its dreary tale in deadly earnest (accent on deadly).
Just the kind of thing award voters eat up.

Posted: 4/12/14 at 8:54amCommercial considerations aside, I wonder whether the Tony voters go through the same torturous examination of criteria as would your average regular theatergoer musing about awards season: What musical deserves to win? Is it the one with the loftiest ambitions, the one that's most superbly crafted, the groundbreaking one, or simply the one that leaves you feeling on a cloud? Or in a fallow year, the one you find the least to complain about? Tough choices this year.

" wouldn't be surprised if Bridges wins the whole shebang."
Nothing would make me happier.

Bwayphreak234, when you say, "Nothing would make me happier" than Bridges winning "the whole shebang," do you mean that there is nothing out there that could make you happier, or do you mean that, if nothing were to win, you be be happier than if Bridges were to win?
Sorry about that ... I've been looking for an opportunity to make that particular joke for years: "Nothing cures my joint pain better than this product" or "Nobody would make a better president than Michelle Bachmann."
