BET's 'One Night Only'

I was surfing the tube tonight and stumbled upon a series called One Night Only on BET.

It is a reality series that follows the aspiring singers, actors and dancers of the oldest African-American high school in New Orleans, McDonogh 35 High School production of Dreamgirls. Having to fight just to keep their school open after Hurricane Katrina, these kids relish the opportunity to pull off a live stage production of Dreamgirls.

Has anyone seen this? It's a weekly series, so hopefully I'll catch next week's episode.

Yup...been watching since episode 1 (episode 4 airs this coming Tuesday).

Pretty fascinating TV, really. Beyonce' makes an appearance on this Tuesday's episode and on episode 6 (the final episode), the entire film's cast is in attendance to watch the school's performance of DREAMGIRLS.

This 6-part series is a Paramount/Dreamworks production, hence all those clips from the film used throughout, etc.
