Hey all--
I'm wondering to all who've seen the show numerous times... how often has the creative team changed the show? I'm asking because I have the cast album w/ Hugh and then I was talking to someone online who saw the show and said they cut "Continental American" and replaced "The Lives of Me" with "Not the Boy Next Door", among other changes. If anyone knows anything about how/when they changed the show (I'm guessing it wasn't a recent change--) let me know.
I just saw BFO today and whoever told you that is 100% wrong. This was my second time seeing BFO and I enjoyed it even more than the first time. Hugh is so comfortable (yet energetic), the audience participation was hilarious and he sang so beautifully. I would love to see the show again.

The only "changes" (if you can call it that) is that because of the stress fracture in his right foot, Hugh doesn't do the heel click at "When I get My Name in Lights" and a few other dance steps that would put pressure on his foot (I still don't know how he did those Rockette kicks during the Tony Awards with that foot - must have been the adrenalin)- but if you were going for the first time you would never know the difference. I noticed the heel click missing right away the second time I went because I thought it was fantastic the first time I saw it - but the person I was with who saw the show for the first time had no idea anything was changed. She thought the show was fantastic. None of the songs have changed.
I had heard about his stress fracture and I thought he wouldn't be dancing but. I didn't remember the heel click so I didn't miss it.
Only major changes are from previews. At the beginning of previews they had Tenterfield Saddler in the show, and it was removed. They also opened with "Not The Boy Next Door", which is now done just before intermission.
