I don't think she'd mind me passing this along. This is what she wrote me about the show:

"BITE! starts where Eve has already biten the apple.
Adam wakes up and she's gone. the Bible doesn't say
how long it took Adam to bite the apple. So BITE!
shows Eve going off and exploring, growing,learning
about life without Adam. he wants to stay in paradise
and not face change...not risk. Anyway, it's so
beautiful because time passes and by the end Adam
doesn't even recognize Eve because she has aged and
changed. he finally realizes that there is no life
without her and he takes the bite! That's a very brief summary."

oh, its going to LA first? lol, im slow, didnt know that. but yes, i do mean after LA. id love to see stephanie come back to broadway!!

Ah no, you're not slow my dear. I was just being "cheeky" (as the British say) cause L.A. is where I live. I have no clue where it'll play first... and I should also clarify that as far as I know, Stephanie is not contractually tied to this project as of now so I'm not going to assume anything. But I'm sure whatever project she's in next will be great! :)

ah, ok. sarcasm is so hard to pick up sometimes. i hope stephanie signs on to do the show, shed be amazing!! her versions of these songs are permanetly etched into my brain, and itd be hard to get used to anyone else singing them with her power re: BITE! the musical ... COMING SOON!

ive got a random, possibly stupid question about steph. the song on her site, bridges of madison county, what is it from?? is it from the movie? (sorry, prolly a stupid question)

Ali Spuck played Eve when it ran in L.A.

This DOES sound like a neat concept for a show! Very different, and could be very moving and funny! It'll be neat to see how it fares with audiences in different venues! Thanks for sharing the info, Popular! re: BITE! the musical ... COMING SOON!

You're very welcome. Interesting to hear another version of it after listening to the recording on Stephanie's site. I would like to see this show... it DOES sound very cool!

Wow, this could be a show I would really want to see. It reminds me kind of the Wicked "the rest of the story" concept. I am sure it will be very interesting, though.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

This show is AMAZING! I was fortunate enough to see its first run at the Egyptian Arena Theatre June of 2004 and was also invited back for the staged reading of it when Stephanie Block read as Eve. Is was so cool! I know the Candlelight Pavillion Dinner Theatre is putting this on in Febuary, any of you who live in southern california should definately check out. If you love the few songs that are on Stephanie's website....wait until you hear the rest!
