I'm curious too about the rush tickets but I will say that when I saw this in Toronto this past summer, it was first time I felt like I didn't PAY THEM ENOUGH (prices were about the same for reg tickets).
The production is AMAZING and simply put, THE BEST PLAY I have EVER seen. GO!
$25 student tickets are available for this Friday's 3 PM matinee. Just enter code STUDENT on their box office website. Seats are any remaining non-premium.
There's also a code for $40 for people under 40 for all Friday matinees.
They also list a general rush for $20 that begins an hour before. They say the tickets are partial view and that long lines are expected.
I can't wait to see the show after hearing so much about it. It will also be my first visit to St. Ann's.
I seriously loved this show in TO. Tried to rush a couple of times after I saw it but it was sold out and I mean every seat had bums in em. When they talk about a piece of theatre this is the kind of thing they mean. A mesh of dance/movement, music, special effects and truly moving performances. Can't recommend it highly enough.
I saw the show at UCLA last fall, and it was spectacular. Don't miss it.
