BOMBSHELL coming to Broadway?

Um, no.

Just...no.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

BOMBSHELL coming to Broadway?

The BOMBSHELL we saw on TV was a hypothetical one- the "concept album" had a plot description of its own, which often differed from the television program. If a "licensing script" to BOMBSHELL does exist, it quite possibly doesn't include a nude scene at all- and it DOES include the Nat King Cole scene that they made a big deal of not including in the show on TV.

BOMBSHELL coming to Broadway?

With the right book I actually think "Bombshell" would work on Broadway but just like they said on SMASH you would have to have the perfect Marilyn. The show stopping numbers would help word of mouth.

Bombshell's score is thrilling!

And Megan has to be Marilyn, that could be her first Tony.

BOMBSHELL coming to Broadway?

^ No. Harvey will be playing Marilyn.
"There’s nothing quite like the power and the passion of Broadway music. "

If I counted correctly, Carolee Carmello's character sang 19 out of 28 songs in Scandalous and was offstage for 10 minutes per show, not counting intermission.
Does anyone know if she had an alternate!?
And Bombshell could easily use an alternate for matinees strategy, like Spiderman does.

^ I think there were fewer songs in Scandalous by the time it opened (about 23?), and she didn't sing in 4 of them. Carolee didn't have an alternate--or even an adequately rehearsed understudy-- so when she was unexpectedly put on a short vocal rest in previews, the show that night was cancelled.

Yeah, I remember that. Good for her; that's quite the load to take on.

BOMBSHELL coming to Broadway?

I always thought that two females need to take on Bombshell. It needs to be done like the movie Norma Jean & Marilyn.
