hello. my friend and i are going to New york May the 10-15
Thursday we're seeing CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG and Friday we're seeing BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (already have tickets for both). I want to see two more shows because the reason i'm taking this trip is for my graduation present...I want to see two...my friend thinks that 4 shows is too much theatre and she wants to see NYC from "OUTSIDE A THEATRE", but i may just have to veto her opinion ( I LOVE BROADWAY SHOWS), anyway, i was wondering what your all's opinions were...I was thinking maybe between:
The Lion King (seen it and loved it!)
The producers (heard alan ruck can't sing well so i'm not THAT thrilled to see it anymore),
Steel Magnolias (LOVE EBERSOLE AND BURKE!!!)
CHICAGO, LITTLE WOMEN, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, and JULIUS CEASAR........
LET THE COMMENTS FLOW!
Thanks everyone
I saw Alan Ruck in the Producers tour, and thought he was great.
DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS(saw it twice and loved it!)
HAIRSPRAY(saw it MANY times and in love with it!)
ALL SHOOK UP(so excited about it!)
Have fun!
DRS or Julius Caesar would be my first ideas and check out The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee
i would say try and catch drs. You will have one heck of a time!

im not real sure how old you are (graduating hs or college?) , what youve seen before, etc which would help in making suggestions.
The Lion King, CHICAGO, LITTLE WOMEN, Steel Magnolias and JULIUS CEASAR... I havent seen any of these so Id have a hard time suggesting them. Ive heard great things about DRS but again, havent seen it yet.
The Producers i wasnt too fond of.
LA CAGE AUX FOLLES is a very entertaining show. All Shook Up is another good time. Avenue Q & Hairspray are great shows.
Im seeing Spamalot and Light In The Piazza shortly so Ill have an opinion on those soon.

Julius Caesar is just about impossible to get tickets to unless you want to pay upwards of $250 a ticket.
DRS and Spamalot definitely.. I also saw Alan Ruck in The Producers Tour. I liked him.
ALTARBOYZ haha i havnt seen it yet but im seeing it either in the spring or summer haha. yeah im graduating next year from HS, so i told my mom that instead of senior week at the beach, im going to NYC and seeing shows all week lol
If you want to see a star-making role and and old pro performing together--see DRS for Norbert and John. The entire cast and ensemble were great!
