Hint...when listing Lp`s for sale or trade it would help to identify which version and edition by including the label and full catalog number.
Listing CAROUSEL does not tell us much but listing it as Decca DLP 8003 or Decca DL 79020 tells us a lot. The second number indicates it is later reissue in fake stereo (which most collectors want to avoid.) Or listing is as Capitol W 690 tells us it is the movie soundtrack album in mono with the complete
"Carousel Waltz." Capitol SW 690 is in stereo but cuts the first half of the Waltz. So those catalog numbers are important. As is a basic condition: Mint or Near Mint, Excellent, Good, Fair or Poor. (Depending how many fingerprints or surface scratches are there.)
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
