BWW ... New Message Board Links PLEASE - L.A. & Chicago

Is there anyway to add links on the side under Message Board for L.A. and Chicago? There seems to be A LOT more Bway related stuff there than West End and Student (?).

I don't think it would harm anything to add two extra boards? No one seems to talk much on these boards right now and I think they would be a lot more active if they were listed under "Message Board" on the main page.

Love the new look, but still think we should have links to the L.A. and Chicago board on the side.

Living in Chicago, I support having a Chicago link. Not to mention that Chicago is the greatest theatre city n the world (no offense to NYC)

There's a ton of Broadway related stuff in L.A. too but the board is pretty much dead.

I <3 the Chicago board! It is a little dead minus lz, mauriposa, tourboi, and a few others though lol maybe a sidebar link would liven things up!

Agreed! I know we can't make every board visiable on the main page, but there are SOOO many Bway related things in L.A.

If Rob doesn't want to make new links, maybe he can put the pull down menu in the "Message Board" area? I am sorry, but where it is now is SOOO hard to find. I didn't even see it until it was pointed out to me (by Rob).

I'd like to tell others in LA who love theatre that BWW is a great place to talk about it, but I can't because the LA board is so dead and there are A TON of musicals/concerts/etc.. out here.

Rob, what do you think?

I can see why LA & Chicago aren't on the main list. If they were there then all of the other boards would feel like they were entitled to the same thing & it would become beyond cluttered.

I know I only go on there once or twice evertime I go on BWW.
Only one new thread is made everyday or one response everyday.

The Last Midnight, you aren't exactly getting my point. I am trying to figure out hotspots that have to do with Broadway. I have been on this site for years, and there really has been no growth. I think the side links are the same as when I got here. :/

There IS a lot more bway related stuff in LA and Chicago than most other cities listed.

My post is just an idea, maybe Bway World can grow. Like I said, this could be a place where we could discuss bway on both coasts. I am talking about Bway performer concerts in LA/chicago and pre-Broadway runs.

If BWW can fit this many ads on the site, I think they can add a couple new links.

I agree with this poster.^

I mean even in the OT board most of the things are/is (correct my grammer) about the east coast, there is nothing wrong with that, but what about the other side of the US.

Thanks! I think an LA board would bring more west coasters on here.. I think even people in San Diego, Las Vegas, San Francisco, etc would use the LA board since it's all within driving distance.

It would be great to have something to chat on for the west coast, just like we have a west end board.

Agreed about the Chicago link!! I see people post about Chicago-area theater on the B'way board frequently, while the Chicago board is dead. Lets liven it up!

Or you could stop being lazy whiners and just use the links in the scroll down box at the top of the page.

There are like 25 regional boards, they're not going to put two of them in the sidebar and not include all the others.

colleen, nobody is being lazy. We never said we don't use our boards. The problem is 95% of the new people here (and evn some old ones) have no clue there is a pull down menu.

Like I had said, I didn't even see it until Rob pointed it out.

The pull down menu should be on the side under Message Board to make it easier to find. It would be great if they did that. But, right now it's not in a place where most could find it.

Thanks for the feedback, we've added a new highlight box to the top of the main board page to showcase the more trafficked regional boards and if the traffic warrants, we'll add them to the left nav bar as well. Post away!
