I loved his piece, intense but funny and showing kids that you can be inspired by a historical figure like Hamilton and still create something with your own flair that you can relate to. Is he serious about that concept album? Because I would check that out!
I love that the White House had an event like this. It's so small, but it makes me happy. And check out Mayda del Valle's performance- she always brings it!

Mayda del Valle is incredible! I saw her perform a few years ago. Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely check that out.
The White House poetry jam was in May. Nice to see BWW TV is keeping on top of the news.

I'm a few hundred pages into a book on Alexander Hamilton, so this is especially zeitgeisty for me. A+++, LMM.

He is a remarkably talented individual.
And that was awesome.
If Lin-Manuel Miranda keeps writing Broadway musicals, he could change the form in a way we've never seen before. In the Heights, I believe, is just the beginning-- Miranda can further incorporate hip hop and spoken word to create a totally new type of musical.
Lin is becoming the master of Originality. First 'In The Heights' and now a concept album based on Alexander Hamilton. He is incredibly talent.

Should be a full blown musical. 1776 meets In The Heights.

And as I’m reading this, I’m thinking ‘This is Biggie, this is Tupac…this is hip-hop!
Sure. But who's who? I'm going with Hamilton as Tupac, as he was the more legitimately talented of the two, but I have an a problem with making Hamilton West Coast.
