Ah! Finally a trailer that isn't a music video!
Really excellent. I am extremely excited.
Looks AMAZING!!!
Now that trailer was wonderful!
I am so excited!!!!!
WOW!!!
Now that is how you make a trailer for a movie musical. Its all right there. The character, the outline of the story and the fact that its got singing IN the movie. Bravo.
To quote Marquise, I'm ejaculating all over myself at this.
Heck, after this, maybe he is too!

I, too, love this trailer because it explains the plot, but I enjoyed the last trailer (Cinema Italiano music video) more because I just really like that song, but I liked how this one incorporated three different songs.
That trailer was absolutely thrilling to watch. I hope the film lives up to it's promise. Minor quibbles aside (e.g. Kidman's Unusual Way) I think this may even best CHICAGO. Visually sumptious, great score, great cast, even I have to admit that Kidman looks absolutely breathtaking in every frame she's in. Marion Cotillard has that vulnerable Audrey Hepburn quality about her. She's so beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. Every one looks like they pulled it together to make this a special film. I'm very much looking forward to seeing this when it opens.
Marquise, do you think perhaps part of your dislike of Kidman's "Unusual Way" could be due to the fact you heard it out of context in the film? I mean, you obviously know the context in the plot, but the tone/atmosphere that Marshall wanted for the scene itself.

Beautiful. Better than that coked-out Victoria's Secret commercial they called the last trailer.
Could be Kad. Maybe my opinion will change once I see the film and see the song performed in context, maybe not. If the song can stand on it's own outside of it's source and you can easily enjoy it just by listening to it then that's a successful interpretation to me.
But then it may grow on me. It's happened before.

What a trailer! I love how classy, splashy, and outstanding the publicity for this show has been. Everyone looks and sounds wonderful.
Has Penelope Cruz ever looked better? She looks like she is quite funny in the movie as well. I'm loving Nicole Kidman in all the promos and clips, can't wait to see her in this. I have to say though, they are really promoting Kate Hudson and I am falling for it, she just seems to really own the role she has been given. I also find the fact that she's not in the stage version makes her an even more interesting, exciting character for us.
Really excellent trailer.
The more I see/hear these clips, the cast just seems like perfection to me. I agree about the noble pathos in Cotillard, the sexy humor of Cruz, the ethereal star wattage of Kidman, the earthy "forbidden fruit" in Fergie, the playful style of Hudson, the legendary loveliness of Loren, and the candid wry wit of Dench ... as they are all wrestled with and observed by the singular genius of Day-Lewis.
Bring it!!!
