idina average?? hmm... whatever floats your boat I guess :) lol

and yeah, I still cannot get over how ADORABLE this video is! they are all SO cute!!

And I actually like adam as fiyero. I mean, sure, he doesn't have an incredibly strong voice, but sometimes I think people focus way too much on singing and not enough on acting. Because a really, really good actor CAN have a mediocre voice (not BAD, they should def be able to carry a tune well and everything, but I'm just saying they dont NEED to be a BRILLIANT singer) and totally, completely pull it off. As long as you connect with the character, thats what really matters. And just from the little I've seen, I think I'd like Adam's fiyero :)

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I was taken back by the accent in "Popular" to the point that I didn't like it. Maybe it will grow on me.

And I literally turned the volume down and put my hands over my ears as Idina screeched the end of "Defying Gravity." I like her. At her acoustic concerts, she proves to be a fantastic vocalist. I just can't take the screeching.

Trust me you get used to the English accents, normally before Popular. Now honestly, if you'd heard the 'English accent' version before the 'US accent' version would there be such an issue? Probably not. Shame that people can't 'hear' past it...if us Brits can look past Kevin Costner's accent in Robin Hood...I'll admit at first hearing it's a bit odd but who wants the same thing churned out again and again.

Veriety is the spice of life and all that jazz

Nothing worse than a bad fake accent though...I'd rather the cast had an array of British accents than bad US ones.

IMHO Helen's version sounds more serious because of the accent, plus she doesn't over play it...hence it seeming deadly serious. I will say though, as much as I love her, if you really like Megan you may take a while to get used to Helen.

Plus we get an English accented Elphaba in a few months...

Idina is fabulous, really fabulous. Her acting's amazing and I love how she's picked up some English phrasing. The best being that I sware she's started putting the 'T' in Gravity! We'll miss her when she's gone.
