I hope I am the first to congratulate BWW poster "Pippin" AKA Jonathan Shade for his portrayal of Jeremy Kushnier's brother (Michael) in the Prince Music Theater's production of Bright Lights, Big City.
"Pippin" got a nice nod in Tim Dunleavy's Talkin' Broadway Review.

I will also add that Jonathan gives an absolutely stunning performance as Michael. He has a very beautiful voice! One of the highlights of the show for me was his singing "Brother."
Another congrats here. Jonathan is a joy to watch on stage.

What a pisser. I'll miss it. What prompted the truncated run?
Congratulations!
This just in! I will be going to the last performance on Sunday, the 25th!
I am very excited!
Pippin/Johnathan, is there a way my father and I can come see backstage and meet people after the show? That would awesome. I am soo looking forward to seeing it!
All_For_Laura, you can just go to the stagedoor after the show to meet the cast.
but going backstage would be more fun, seeing as I have been going to the Prince since i was very young.

I wouldn't really recommend waiting at the actual stage door anyway. The cast seems to come up through the lobby and then goes out the front doors, as opposed to the stage door that exits onto the street behind the Prince (which is all back doors to establishments on other streets, I can see why they choose not to go out that way!).

Jonathan/Pippin is awesome in the role. He acts the part extremely well and his singing is beautiful. I was blown away. I thought is was one of the strogest performers on that stage. And that is saying a lot.
Well done.

Is it closing this weekend? Already? Some sort of technical difficulties???
Patrick Wilson Fans --New "UnOfficial Fan Site". Come check us out!
No technical difficulties, the fact is as Al's pointed out many times, the Prince has strange ways of "promoting" shows, in other words, they DON'T. To continue to say there's a "lack of ticket sales" is unfair to the cast and the show. Yes, it took some hits in some regional papers but the cast is made up of bona fide Broadway stars and some impressive newcomers. It comes down to this once and for all, the Prince is to blame as it has done absolutely nothing to advertise this show. The only reason any of us from this board knew to go was becuase of myspace and websites announcements by the stars themselves. Nuff' said.

Ruprecht,
I could not agree more. They did not promote this very well at all. They promoted Dreamgirls much more than this.
It's absolutely true and I too, wholeheartedly agree with Rup.
I went with some friends this weekend and saw the final three performances (it's a bit of a trip for me, so if I was going to go see the show, I was going to go more than once, lol). I walked in there wanting to see the show for Andy Karl and Orfeh, and walked out of there wanting to see Jonathan perform again ASAP. He's amazing. Of the performers who I didn't know of prior to the show, Jonathan and Alyse Wojciechowski were the standouts. Both were SUPERB.
