I am finding a 3 song recording for the production of Baby that Lea Salonga was recently in. Does anyone know if they recorded the whole score? The description on Footlight records seems to say so ("from the cast recording") but I wanted to make sure before i buy it. Thanks.

I got that 3 song recording last week. You'll be amazed at how much Lea Salonga's version of The Story Goes On sounds EXACTLY like the original by Liz Callaway.

Wierd-I wouldn't even say the 2 are remotely similar.

So is a full recording on the way?

I'm guessing not. There is no mention on the CD packaging that the songs are part of a full recording, and I haven't heard anything about a full CD.

I think Footlight's description is misleading:

"Limited Collector's Edition CD Single containing 3 tracks from the Cast Recording starring Lea Salonga and David Shannon!"
