I'm seeing Avenue Q.

My dress doesn't have pockets...now I'll have to hold my mommy's hand...

Also I hope the cast doesn't sleep or I'll be slightly dissapointed...lol

What is it about Lucy?? I know she's a bitch, and yet I want to be her...

Don't grope the hot stage doorman.

If it's not your prop, don't touch it.

I met Hugh Jackman on stage at the Imperial in September, and he didn't have any problem with allowing my friend and I to take a picture with him. He was very gracious and spoke to us twice while we were there, and we were able to see him interact with his wife and son, as well as Christine Ebersole, who was also on stage at the same time....it was something that I will never forget.

When I saw At Liberty, it was really cold outside so Ms. Stritch decided she was not signing playbills out on the street. Instead, she had the stage doorman usher fans backstage and into the actual stage where she graciously posed for pictures and signed playbills!!

When my friend saw AVENUE Q there was a BC/EFA auction at the end of the show for a backstage tour and 6 windowcards (2 of each) signed by the entire original cast, understudies & swings. Well his mom & aunt enjoyed the show so much they were determined to win, and they did so for $1000 (which is easier on the pocket when it's for charity) they got the completly exclusive, touch-all-ya-want, stand-on-the-stage, full cast-led tour. They let them touch whatever they wanted, they played with the "Purpose" boxes, saw Lucy's boobs, toured the Green & Dressing rooms, stood on the stage & walked all though the sets and got to talk a lot with the entire cast, understudies, swings, crew, etc and had them all sign playbills, posters and cute t-shirts they gave them that you can't buy that have the Bad Idea Bears on them. I guess it really depends on the mood of the tour what you can and can't do. Just imagine if you were on that tour and follwed the "rules" stated above how much you would've missed out on.

And the moral of the story is: I got one of the windowcards!! re: Backstage Etiquette (or however u spell it)

act casual as possible. Ask questions you want to and be interested in what they have to say but don't act like they are gods....thats what I did with Hugh Jackman and he was like "wow your the first person who is talking to me like a person"

Not saying there is not people who like to be gushed over there are

When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere
