Lennon, poor Lennon. How I loved you.

Aspects of love is concidered to be a flop, but I always thought that it is one of the most charming shows I've ever known

Okay...........I will have to be honest and say that as much as I like Wicked and even though it did not win all the TONYS that year I never knew that it was flawed by the critics.

Dracula I saw in previews and it was horrible! STORY AND ACTING. Only redeeming quality was found visually. Hopefully it got better for some of you t ohave liked it and hey.....I am a HUGE Wildhorne fan! I even met him at the preview, talked with him and had him sign my playbill

Visually amazing just as Dracula was CHITTY! It was pure eye candy! AND...........that was it. Acting was horrible and it moved horribly. It was unreal!

Now on to better things. I know most disagree but I really liked Dance of the Vampires! It was a beautifully set show. The overture with music, lights, stage, and special effects was Unbelievable. One of the best I have ever seen on any stage. Obviously the story was flawed and it might have gone better if it had stuck with the German adaptation. Otherwise everything was brilliant, except maybe Crawford. Even though again this was a preview, i knew they were changing things nightly. I took friends with me, one was an avid theater lover, the other two had never seen a Broadway show before. We all loved it. I wish I could explain well the audience reaction. It was so much fun! Everyone in that huge theater really got into it. The audience was eating up the humor and laughing at all the right points. They really did a great job of that. I dont know what happened once it opened. No, it wasnt your normal musical, but what is normal. I absolutely despised the fact AVE Q Won best musical. My first reaction was, what is happening to theater. Now I think more openly and say "to each his own." I will never forget the special effects though in DOV especially the beginning. AWESOME!! I wouldnt mind talking to those of you out there who saw it and see your thoughts and get details on the show you saw to hear about differences. PM me!

I absolutely love Jekyll and Hyde as well as Scarlett Pimpernel and the tour of Civil War. I am glad that J and H sustained itself for a few years. The others were sorely underrated.

There used to be a musical review show at Universal Studios called "Spiderman Rocks" that included Mary Jane singing "I Need a Hero," and Green Goblin uttering "Green Goblin's in the house!"

I was so lame, but I just loved it.

I'm in London, but i would have to say La Cava and Tonight's The Night. I really enjoyed both! Much to the horror of my friends.

I was (and still am I suppose) a huge Scarlet Pimpernel fan - saw all three versions!

also, the first time I was in London I caught Witches of Eastwick and still love it to pieces although it's not the best written musical

There were three versions to Scarlett Pimpernel? I saw one with Doug Sills on Broadway. What were the differences. I am really interested.

I don't understand how people could say the acting in Chitty was horrible. The cast was the best part about that derned show that I loved more than I really should have. It had loads of flaws but the acting was hardly one of them.

That being said, there's a "bad" show that I loved.

Ok ,my bad, let me clarify that, the kids were great, but arent all kids in shows? Also I give due credit to the dogs. Yeah, thats about it.

Are you kidding? Those dogs were awful. I saw Chitty nine times and there was this one dog that would continually go up on line after line. It was embarrassing. Once he barked while Raul Esparza was singing. The whole theatre shifted uncomfortably. Another time he just forgot to bark completely. Luckily Erin Dilly knows how to ad lib.

If you're clever enough to use it, I should hope you'd be clever enough to recognize it as well.

well now that we've brought enough awkward for everyone....kidding, kidding

yes- there were 3 versions of SP - the Doug Sills, Christine Andreas, Terrence Mann version found on the OBC, then the Doug Sills, Rachel York, and I'll be damned if I can remember who played Chauvelin version found on the 2nd cast recording (they switched around some numbers, ruined Storybook by using it to open the show, added another number in Storybook's place...not impressive)and finally the Ron Bohmer, Carolee Carmello, Marc Kudish version that although I wasn't a huge fan of the changes, loved the cast! oh and they all were on broadway although I think the show technically closed between two of the versions but I forget which ones

I too find that I enjoy SP, but only with the Original Broadway recording. The cast is superlative, especially the ever-divine Christine Andreas. And frankly I just don't like the changes that were made from version to version (I agree with the placement of 'Storybook').
