Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 5/24/26 May 27 2026, 04:23:16 PM
THE FEAR OF 13 is turning into such an interesting study in star casting and producing. It doesn't seem to be grabbing on. I suppose it's not about just casting a star, but the right star(s).
Conversely, very interesting to see POTTER back over $1.1mil without Felton.

Is WORKING GIRL transferring? Maybe they pulled the plug because Jojo is no longer available.

BRIGADOON in Pasadena May 21 2026, 07:15:13 PM

Which I think is always going to be a hurdle for any BRIGADOON. And the show may need more leeway from the estates to make structural changes than what Silber was allowed.
Katie Spelman is certainly proving herself as a director/choreographer in the regions."
Katie Spelman is truly a genius. Those that ha

Read your first sentence, then read your last sentence. See any contradictions there?"

DEATH BECOMES HER To Close on Broadway June 28, 2026 May 18 2026, 01:08:47 PM
Everyone in here saying "more stunt casting", "the producers didn't try", "Laura Benanti"...I don't think truly grasp how difficult it is to find female actors, with name recognition, that not only CAN do this, but would WANT to. I am sure every name thrown out from Benanti to Sherie to Scherzinger (who originated Viola in workshops) were approached. But said actors must WANT to do the job, and it is NOT an easy job to take on. Don't forget Megan

I loved this in both Chicago and DC. It's a lot of fun. Will return to see it on Broadway.

Turn "Death Becomes Her" into an event. Reopen it with Kristin and Idina. Seven shows a week. It prints money."
You're assuming they would *want* to do it. That's the problem. There are many that *can* do it, but those that can are generally unlikely to want to.
And don't forget Kristin passed on her offer for DBH after developing it for years to do QOV. I doubt there's good will the

Beaches reviews Apr 30 2026, 03:25:57 PM
Interesting that they want to keep this open through the touring conference in Vegas. Despite the hemorrhage of money, I could see a world where they send out a non-AEA tour.

Paddington at the Al Hirschfeld Apr 21 2026, 11:56:03 PM
I loved Paddington and I loved this cast. But I doubt we’ll see many of the cast transfer, outside of Hameed and Shah.

Lea teased this for so long, and her last role on Broadway was so successful, so I just don't see her leaving it behind after less than a year without looking back. She is best live and on stage (just like her best friend)so I hope she comes back to the role."
I would have no problem if she did come back and I was surprised when it w

Lea Michele v Caissie Levy Tony Race Mar 24 2026, 07:48:14 PM
I think it's way too early to tell, although it seems pretty clear Levy and Michele are locks for nominations.
I also think it's very likely Marla Mindelle and (especially) Sara Chase will shift the conversation in a really exciting way.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY @ Shakespeare Theatre DC Feb 4 2026, 06:02:54 PM
Saw it as well last weekend at the Saturday matinee, and could not agree more. Spooky as all heck and VERY fun. The stagecraft is exceptional with plenty of "how did they do that" moments, and the tension leads to genuinely effective jump scares throughout. The two leads, Travis Knight and Cher Alvarez, are doing exceptional work. Hope it makes it to New York!

Clue is definitely going non-equity (in fact it may already be). There are rumors that Harry Potter is going non-eq too, and i bet Mamma Mia will eventually.

PRADA feels likely.
I also heard that HUZZAH! is fully capitalized and that could be a good fit for the Schubert.

Odom and Felton are at least age appropriate for their respective roles. Bringing back Gad and Rannells to BOM might be a bit of a stretch of your theory since both are in their mid to late 40s
