Does anybody have any clear-quality photos of the mid/rear-balcony at the Shubert Theatre?
Years ago, I saw a few shows from up there. Get better if you can is all I will say.

Thats what a lot of people are saying
Google image search "Shubert Theater balcony." I just found about 30 photos.
I've done that so many times including going on Instagram and looking for different views. No one really has good photos of the rear balcony because thats where my seats are going to be and I don't want to spend $120 if its not worth

Rear balcony seats aren't worth $120 anywhere, especially the Shubert.

You can easily get like $37-$47 center balcony seats for Matilda. Definitely not worth $120 for that.
Yeah they're for $47. But I'm buying two tickets so that plus fees on TodayTix is $114.

I have sat in literally the worst seat in the house for Matilda and the view was fine, but I found the sound lacking. I had also seen the show about 8 times at that point. The real problem was the multiple school groups who would not sit down, shut up, and watch the show in a timely manner. I really prefer the orchestra for Matilda. They offer lottery and $27-45 SRO/cancellation/lottery loser seats if you wait around at the box office after losing lotto (if you lose, of course). This is in my opinion the best way to get Matilda seats as they are almost always in the orchestra.

If you search on Foursquare you will find lots under "Shubert Theatre". Watch out for the poles though. Another option is the Mezz, they have $59 seats, there is an overhang, but the view is fine. Also they have a discount on broadwaybox which includes Orchestra seats. (Orchestra is best for this show if you can afford it)
I sat in the mezzanine about halfway up and the view was fantastic.
The sound quality is not great from up there but the view is fine. I've sat there a couple times for Matilda and wasn't bothered by it given the price I paid.
I will also add that the sound quality was pretty poor from the mezzanine when I saw the show.

That is an option for me but I live and hour and a half from nyc so its easier just to get tickets

I hated Matilda from the balcony...it's definitely a closer up type of show. Sound is awful upstairs and it's too far away to see much.
It's a whole diff show downstairs...
