Hmm...I hope there's another announcement. I'm going and it seems like there's usually more/better presenters...
From Broadway.com:
A total of 25 competitive categories will be part of this year's telecast, which will be broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall on June 15.
Does this mean that they are including the design categories live on the telecast? Also, there are 26 competitive categories. Which are they going to leave out? Hmmm...

How wonderful for them!
God, I hope Triumph the Insult Comic Dog shows up this year.
It probably doesn't mean that the design awards will be presented on air, as they have presenters for the pre-show, and then come on the broadcast to briefly announce what won.
Besides, tonyawards.com says the pre-show will start being webcast at 7:15, and tickets instruct that the doors close at 7 (which I hope isn't absolute...)
I wish they had real Broadway stars as presenters, not TV/movie-stars-who-were-on-Broadway-once-or-are-planning-to-be.
Seems like they're trying really hard to get people to watch this year. Whoopi hosting, Rent and Lion King performing, these presenters... I'm kind of optimistic about this show actually. Maybe it will be entertaining this year.
But I agree, I wouldn't mind seeing a Broadway star or two as presenters instead of big name celebrities.

I guess Winokur will be on the next list because after her high-profile turn on DWTS (mostly for still being on the show), she'd have to be asked.

They want to get people to watch? Have Hugh Jackman host again. But here's the kicker. He'll be naked. Manages to get every single audience member - women, gays, and those who want to see what CBS' will do so they can shoot the sh*t about it around the watercooler the next day.
I wish they had real Broadway stars as presenters, not TV/movie-stars-who-were-on-Broadway-once-or-are-planning-to-be.
Broadway fans are not their target demographic. Mainstream fans are. I'm sure the perfect Tonys for many people on here would bore the average viewer to death.
The goal of the Tony Awards is to honor the best on Broadway. The goal of the Tony Awards telecast is to maximize ratings and to spark as much interest in Broadway shows (and going to see them) as possible. This is done by attempting to appeal to the widest audience.
