Cool beans, bway.

What happened to his career? I finally saw 'THE' commercial last nite, and was saddened. And yes, it would have been less depressing if it was a car advertisement or something along those lines. He's the most talented of the Bare cast (in my opinion), and yet he still has no job. Why isn't he on broadway? It's been six months. As an understudy?
Since when did he go back? Since dropping out of Juilliard to do BIG RIVER, Michael's been working in the business pretty consistently -- he hasn't had a two-year break yet to finish his degree.
midtown don't worry about michael. He has been working. He was in LA doing Pippin and is staring in various readings, and concerts in NY. His name was attached with vampire lestat and he was waiting for that to open. Will see if he is still attached with the project.

My guess is he's keeping his options open. From what I hear, he's involved in several workshops, and of course he's making a name for himself at concerts like Wall to Wall Sondheim. I think it's pretty smart that he hasn't pegged himself down with an ensemble or understudy job -- he's too original a talent. The Dominoes commercial is probably a great way to bring money in while looking for the next big project.
nervously waiting to hear back from my friend if her mom can drive us to NYC to see the show *bites finger nails*
Oh dear.
I can only hope that Michael one day posts on bww.com so we can see how much of a complete turn around some other board members will make in an effort to kiss his ass.
*prays for that day*
Congratulations to Michael on the show. As one of his three fans, I can't wait to see what he has in store for us.
But I hope there's room at the after party for hangers on that don't attend the benefits/concerts/shows but like to act like they did!
YAY!!!
And Marc Shaiman is my hero.
arden is incredible.

All I can say is I wish I could be there for this! I am sure it is going to be an incredible night!!
Few Hours away
Can't wait to heat that angelic voice!!!!
YAY I got to see him last night in songs for a new world, and now again tonight! WOOHOO, I can never move out of ny again. what wasI ever thinking?
Not only do we get to see him, but also his special guest Natalie Joy Johnson. Sweet!
4 HOURS!!!!!!!
Trisky. U ever put that Appletini down?
Will U be sittin at the Bar at Joe's Tonite?
If I could find a better picture of myself, I'd put the Appletini down. Hee.
Wound up sitting at one of the tables with the couch things/lights. Did I see you CurtainPullDowner? (Not that I'd know you if I did.
)
I have seriously never heard Michael sound better than he did tonight and I've heard him... a lot. I can't think of note that didn't sound wonderful. And I'm still jealous as all hell that he writes such beautiful music. It's just not fair that he gets that much talent rolled into one package. What was I doing at 22? Staring at the ceiling willing words to come into my head, I'm sure.
And Natalie? *loves*
As the third of the three Michael fans....I have to agree with Trisky's account of the evening. It was a great show. And what happened to Bguy2 after Marc's slapdown. It is about time someone put that guy in his place. Michael has more talent in his poop that Bguy2 does in his entire body!
Actually, Mr. Arden is singing at my theatre company's next event at the end of May, but I'll annoy you all with my posts about that later! He's awesome.
Amazing concert
almost an art piece
the way they went from Bucinno's volcanic
"I'm not waiting" to Natalie's show stopping reading of Arden's "Waiting" was quite theatrical.
Who is Arielle?
My God what a Song and what a Singer/Actress!
Ripley looks to be a growing project
that has a bright Future.
and Mr. Arden's Voice was in extremely strong shape, the
shadings and control are Maturing as He seems to be.
That Final Billy Joel "Lullaby" was a great Good Night from one the Most Talented Young Performers around these days.
and that Matt Richardson on Piano and arranging, What a Gift!
The visable Respect and Love between Michael and Matt sure manifests itself as beautiful Music.
Thank U Michael
P.S. that celloist is hot stuff

Does anyone have the music to Waiting?! What amazes me the most about Michael is his composition. He has some pretty amazing songs although I feel Easter Rising still needs to be developed, I feel some of the choices of when to go into song in the story need to be re-worked. I do look fwrd to see how his musicals progress in the future. The ease of his voice, his mix, control and stength his quite amazing. He has a very special, unique color. Some of his interpretations of the songs I am not too found of, some of the choices are too obvious. Still it was a moving performance.
The music to Easter Rising is gorgeous, it's the book that needs tinkering.
I was happy to hear him break out of the musical theater genre with Billy Joel's "Lullaby" (granted it wasn't exactly a huge risk of a song or anything). I still want to hear him do "Hallelujah" and "Crowing" and/or "Windmills" by Toad the Wet Sprocket. Every time I listen to any of those three songs, I can place his voice right on them. He should do a concert of everything but musical theater/standards.
