Net: I believe they you either did not see the show or saw it with your mind made up already that is was in someway racist.
So explain yourself. Find specific moments in the show that portray the black characters in a negative light. Tell us how the lady's refusal to change seats in the final scene is racist. Tell us how when the performers refuse to respond to the interlocutor's commands it is a negative reflection on their race.
And by the way, watching a poor quality audience bootleg does not constituent experiencing this show.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com
