There’s a single-seat box just off stage right that I’m intrigued about. I’m curious to how much of the vital action I’d miss in “The Band’s Visit” that occurs in this part of the stage? I like the proximity of the seat, but don’t won’t to miss anything overly important in the musical if I’m seated over there.

You can see the seat in this image from the website A View From My Seat...its to the left of the image, and the single-seat box is in front of the couple you see standing in the box on the left:

I sat stage far right in the mezzanine. As I recall, there was maybe one short scene or maybe two that I couldn't see. I doubt you would miss anything crucial, and you would hear was was being said, of course.

I sat pretty much right below that box seat when I saw it last weekend, maybe a seat closer to the aisle (D9, I believe). There's a small scene at the beginning where I could just barely make out EVERYTHING that was happening on stage right, but after that there was very little I missed. Those chairs and table on the side of the stage are used in two scenes, so you may miss part of that. Aside from stage right, there are a few scenes where there's a wall kind of down the middle of the stage (separating rooms in a home) and a small amount of the action happens on the other side of the wall. Not a lot and not for a long amount of time, but that could be something to think about, too.

THANK YOU both for the insight. I’m still torn between the box seat, a front row orchestra in row AA all the way to stage right (worried about the stage height and craning my neck), or front row mezzanine (at the bottom of the mez stairs, and the possibility of a safety railing partially blocking the view). Need to buy this very soon before they’re gone.

Personally, I sat in left orchestra 2nd row on Center Aisle. It was a great seat, but I wish I had chosen Right Orchestra over it, since many scenes are played that way. I went with a Right Box for my 2nd viewing, but kind of wish I would've chosen Row AA, if I had known the option was available.

Well, it’s a done deal. In the middle of buying the ticket on the Telecharge website, yes, it goes down or something. Argh. I call in and get a better seat same row AA 109 dead center front row orchestra. Very excited!

Same price, too? Wow what a great deal!

The price difference between the box seat and the front row was less than $50. I figured for a once-and-only viewing I didn’t want to miss anything, and a dead center seat in the front row will be that ticket.

I'm glad this thread was made as I'm also in the process of buying a seat. Sorry to hijack your thread, dmwnc!

I need some advice on where to sit. Should I go for front row center or front right orchestra? The complete front row (left, right, center) is available for the date that I want to see the show, but I'm just not sure on where to sit. Should I sit in the front or move to the 2nd row right?

don't message me thinking im taylor trensch?? what would he be doing on bww?? you can't possibly be that dumb bye

Just to chime in- I sat in the right box and it wasn’t great. I wouldn’t recommend it, especially since great seats are to be had at a discount now. It was a mistake for sure.

For those asking about the first couple of rows: I sat in row 2 center orchestra, right on the house right aisle, when I saw it. The stage was a tiny bit higher than I would have liked, but it was worth it to be able to see all the expressions and nuances up close. For reference, I'm a very short woman (barely 5 ft tall), so many of you would probably have a better sight line than I did in any case.

No worries. Here’s another thread, the “original”, which I didn’t see before I posted my specific question. I’m not sure this will be much help, but there are some Q&A’s on seating for “The Band’s Visit” there as well...

Thanks for the input - I'm also very short and I'd hate to be craning my neck for the whole show.

I would REALLY appreciate any help! :)

Which box do you think is best: A B C D E or F ? Why?

Where are the seats 1 - 4 located in each box? Which have the best leg room?

Thank you so much!
