Bat Boy spoiler/question

Ok, I realize Bat Boy isn't on Broadway at this point nor has it ever been. But I had a question about what happens. I was reading a synopsis of the show, becuase I have never seen it, and it said that the mother told Edgar and Shelley something that told them they would never be able to be together..... What is it?!?! I can only assume, but I don't know if I am right, and I REALLY wanna know. I have absolutely no patience.... ehh, what can you do?

There sister and bother. They go on to explain that Shelly is Dr. Parkers soon and Edgar is the child of bats. The bats actually raped Meredith. It's crazy but funny when they tell the story on stage. They tell it as a flash back and show Edgar and Shelly what happened.

A friend inadvertendtly spoiled this for me before I saw the show, but the explanation behind it kind of made up for it...

Are you sure about that? There are regional productions popping up all over the place.

Yeah, I have seen that, but the last play that I saw that wasn't affiliated with a high school, who would probably never do that show, or a professional show in Stratford was..... You're a Good Man Charlie Brown in 2002.
