Be In the Heights contest

Ok... so it's getting close to In the Heights being in my city. I'm in the Be In the Heights contest so I'm getting a little nervous about that. Has anyone here WON the contest? I haven't really heard of anyone and I'm starting to wonder if it's legit.

I did. But for some reason they thought I had registered for Appleton, Wisconsin when I meant to register for Chicago, so I couldn't go. But it is legit, it just depends on how many people in your city are doing it. The larger the city/# of people, the harder it is to win because you need significantly more people to click on your profile to move you up in the rankings.

I won it in Minneapolis. Definitely legit. I was worried as well, but an email did come about a day before the show started playing in my town. They gave me several options for days and then I just picked up the tickets before the show. Wonderful seats! (Wonderful touring cast as well, for the most part.)

Ok I'm glad to hear that! I'm currently # 2 for my city so I think I'm in good shape. Were you guys in the top 5?

How many dates did you have to choose from?

They gave a choice of 2 or 3 dates as far as I remember. I totally would have gone, Appleton isn't *too* far away, but at the time I was working in retail and so it was a little last minute and I couldn't (or wouldn't...) call in sick.

I won for Chicago. It was amazing. The seats were wonderful. Another friend won tickets for Cleveland. For Chicago they gave me about 10-12 dates I could choose from but you have to respond to the e-mail within 24 hours.

I was #1 in Minneapolis, and was notified only a day or so before opening night. I was given four dates to choose from. (I think they were all weeknights and a Sunday matinee.)
