Mr. Tuttle, Thank you for pointing out my mistake. I Should have said that the theatre isn't Always half empty, Please forgive me. However, I fairly sure that it hasn't been only half full at all, but it is hearsay so I should state it as fact.
I have seen it a couple of times. I realize that some people on this board think that if you disagree or like a show that they don't, they work for that show. Sorry to disappoint you but, I don't get paid to say I like it, amazingly enough I just disagree with you. Remind me again have you actually seen the show????

The political history of The Beach Boys is a rocky one. What with Murray Wilson's actions in the sixties, to the deaths of both Dennis and Carl Wilson, Brian's state in the late 80's and his career basically being controlled by his therapist Eugene Landy, and the separation of the entities in the late 90's to the present, it's hard to say exactly who has final say to what happens with the music. Right now, The Beach Boys consist of Mike Love and Bruce Johnston. Al Jardine tours under a different name, which has escaped me, but I believe its The Friends of the Beach Boys are something along those lines. Brian Wilson tours under his own name, with his own entourage.

From my understanding, the majority of the decisions having to do with Beach Boy songs are made by a group of people consisting of all the surviving Beach Boys, and representatives of Carl and Dennis Wilson. I'm sure it includes others as well, but I believe they collectively have rights over their own music now, and decide on it's fate as a group, despite political controversy within the group.

Wait. I thought Good Vibrations was about the Beach Boys, with them as characters. Maybe I'm wrong...it just sounds better than other random characters singing the songs?

And yeah, ignorance is bliss.

Hello Girlfriendformcanada. Did you read my post? I explained why The Beach Boys have no say in how thier songs are used. They don't own them.

tommy- thanks for clearing that up. brian's dad also controlled their money, which i'm pretty sure is why he and brian's relationship went defunct. they had some serious issues. i think i'd hate my dad too if i wrote pop masterpieces and then my pop sold them so they could be on cruise commercials or ford ads. or jukebox musicals. isn't that kind of depressing?
Veuve- you have explained to me the unexplainable: not quantum physics, the popularity of mama mia! i actually get it now, thanks.
tuttle- sorry i didn't know you was jokin bout kokomo, but i had know way of knowing if you were a lil elphaba over there or whatever. yes the disney top 100 kinda gave it away but that was after i already threatened you. so, i revoke my threat.
btw, can you believe linda ronstat tried to sing "in my room"? i'm like, girl, that is SO off limits.
