do you mean BAREFOOT in the Park?
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story... AGATHA CHRISTIE, Life magazine, May 14, 1956

re: Bearfoot in the Park

No it really is Bearfoot in the Park.

It's about these two overweight hairy gay guys that meet in central park :)

For "Barefoot in the Park" Revival (Patrick Wilson, Amanda Peete, Jill Clayburgh, and Tony Roberts):
--Rehearsals start after Christmas.
--Goal is a Feburary opening.
--No Theater has been announced yet.

(...and, did I mention that Patrick Wilson is in it...???!!!)
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

re: Bearfoot in the Park

I saw it listed in Variety: "Bearfoot in the Park": Harvey Fierstein and Bruce Vilanch play unlikely lovers in this all gay musical based loosely on Neil Simon's hit play. Harvey is Paul, the uptight lawyer and Bruce is his free spirited lover Corey, who moves them into a 6th-floor walk up apartment. Featuring Bea Arthur as Corey's Mother who is fixed up with the eccentric Lesbian who lives upstairs, Victoria Velasco (Kathy Bates).

Wow, the scarey part is that I'd pay big money for that show.

I would too... I love the movie so much. Not to mention Patrick Wilson. The combination is wonderful.

re: Bearfoot in the Park

If there was only some way Neil Simon could be convinced to write a scene where we see Patrick's PERFECT ass, I'd get a ticket fo sho!
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Hmm, this sounds interesting.
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

I thought BEARFOOT IN THE PARK was the sequel to GOLDILOCKS?

Patrick Wilson has bear feet? Is he related to the woman with panda hands?

re: Barefoot in the Park

Sorry. Though it drives me crazy when people misspell things, I typically don't act like the spelling police and correct them. But this post was just too good to miss. BEARFOOT in the Park? Grizzlies or Polar Bears?

I did this show many moons ago and wonder if it will be updated at all or done as a period piece. It's quite innocent for these times.
