Beau Brummelly?
I'm trying to figure out what 'Beau Brummelly' is in the Annie song "you're never fully dressed without a smile"
the line that the words are in goes:
You're clothes may be BEAU BRUMMELLY, they stand out a mile
...anyone know? thanks!

Beau Brummell was a man known for his snappy dressing, good looks and quick wit. The lyrics "you're clothes may be Beau Brummell-y, they stand out a mile, but brother you're never fully dressed without a smile." mean that you can be the best dresser (nicest and sharpest clothes and appearance) in the world (like Beau Brummell), but you're never fully dressed without a smile.
Note: He is also noted in "All I Need is the Girl" from GYPSY.

Thanks so much guys! I thought that it might have meant a person. I just wanted to know for sure. It's just better for me to know it, because I have to sing it soon!
Thanks again!
Hah I've actually always wondered about that.
Thanks

I feel so dumb now...
My little cousin asked who that was and I was like "A designer! Duh! I hate how stupid you are!"
Whoops... she doesn't have to know that though..
