It was announced today that the national tour of the musical Beautiful will play a 12 week run in Chicago beginning December 1, 2015 at the Oriental Theatre. Not sure if this is the beginning of the national tour. The big unanswered question is whether Jessie Mueller will play the lead role during this run. A quick sell out would most likely happen if she repeated her role in Chicago where she has a large following. See Chicago Tribune article by Chris Jones:

Posted: 8/19/14 at 1:04amI'm sure the decision as to whether or not Jessie Mueller will do the Chicago run won't be made until at least a year from now. If she's available, I have no doubt she'd happily relish the chance to perform this particular role for her hometown during the holidays, but the likelihood she'll be involved with something else by then is high.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Posted: 8/19/14 at 2:18amThere was a thread a while ago about Beautiful transferring to London (that I can't seem to locate) where a poster cryptically implied that the reason Jessie would not be reprising the role in the West End would be revealed soon. I wonder if this has anything to do with that, or maybe she's already attached to another project all together?
